This was India’s first-ever best performance in the men's giant slalom event at Winter Olympics. India’s first skier Arif Khan finishes 45th at the event. The 31-year-old skier from Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir recorded a merged time of 2 minutes and 47.24 seconds.
