Our Curriculum
The EYFS framework at DBF encompasses both prime and specific areas of learning to ensure holistic development. The prime areas include Communication and Language, Physical Development, and Personal, Social, and Emotional Development, which are foundational for children’s learning and future success. The specific areas build on these foundations and include Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, and Expressive Arts and Design. Our balanced approach ensures that each child receives a well-rounded early education, tailored to their individual needs and interests.

Head of Early YearsWith over 15 years of distinguished experience in Early Years Foundation Stage departments, both in the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates, Rose brings a wealth of expertise and enthusiasm to our community. Her journey in education, characterised by various leadership roles including Head of Year and Nursery Principal, reflects her deep commitment to creating enriching and nurturing learning environments where children can truly thrive.
Rose’s passion for early childhood education is rooted in her belief in the power of play-based learning and providing a stimulating and inclusive space where every child can flourish academically, socially, and emotionally. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education and Education Studies, Rose is dedicated to staying abreast of the latest research and best practices in early years education. She believes in the importance of laying a strong foundation for future learning and development during these crucial formative years.
Recognising that education is a partnership between school and home, Rose eagerly anticipates meeting families and values their involvement in their child’s learning journey.
